Voyages Immobiles: Yannick Fournié and Alan Mazzetti

May 9 — May 31, 2025

Studio Shop Gallery is thrilled to present Voyages Immobiles, a two-person exhibition featuring the work of Yannick Fournié and Alan Mazzetti. This exhibition invites viewers to travel without moving—through architecture, memory, and imagination.

We’re excited to welcome Yannick Fournié, exhibiting with us for the first time. Based in Biarritz, in the southwest of France, Fournié is known for his minimalist abstractions that distill architectural forms to their essence. His paintings evoke a sense of quietude and clarity, offering a poetic meditation on distance and contemplation.

Longtime gallery artist Alan Mazzetti debuts a new body of work featuring stylized aerial perspectives of the Bay Area, reimagining the urban landscape. Through layered geometry and vibrant color, Mazzetti builds structured, rhythmic compositions that suggest movement, memory, and the compression of time.

Although their approaches differ—Fournié paring down and Mazzetti constructing—both artists offer imagined interpretations of real places. Together, their work invites viewers into still spaces shaped by form and perception.

Voyages Immobiles is part of Studio Shop Gallery’s 110th anniversary celebration, marking over a century of bringing art to SF Bay Area and supporting generations of artists and collectors.

Join us for an evening of art, drinks, and bites from a local food truck as we explore two distinct visions of place and presence.

Artist Reception: Friday, May 9, from 5–7 PM
Exhibition Dates: May 9–31, 2025
